The Chokopam Cacao Martini

The Chokopam Cacao Martini

Why You’ll Love It:

  • Uses real Chokopam cacao for authentic depth
  • Naturally dairy-free (but can be made creamy with your choice of milk)
  • Perfect for dessert, date night, or anytime you want to impress

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 Chokopam bar (grated or melted, about 3 tbsp)
  • 1.5 oz dark rum (or use spiced rum for warmth)
  • 1.5 oz crème de cacao (or Kahlúa for a coffee twist)
  • 2 oz coconut milk (or oat milk for a creamier texture)
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: cacao powder or grated chocolate for garnish
  • Optional: chocolate syrup for glass swirl

Instructions

  1. Melt the Chokopam
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the Chokopam bar with a splash of coconut milk. Stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.

  2. Prep the Glasses
If you want that dramatic swirl, drizzle chocolate syrup along the inside of your martini glasses. Place them in the freezer for 5 minutes to set.

  3. Shake It Up
In a cocktail shaker, combine the melted chocolate, rum, crème de cacao, coconut milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds.

  4. Pour & Garnish
Strain into your chilled glasses. Top with grated chocolate or a dusting of cacao powder.

  5. Serve Immediately
Sip slowly and savor the rich, creamy notes of real cacao.

Variations

  • Swap coconut milk with oat, almond, or even Irish cream for indulgence.
  • Use espresso instead of coconut milk for a mocha martini twist.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne for a spicy Haitian-inspired kick.
